NFL Internship programs

INTERNSHIPS & ENTRY LEVEL PROGRAMS AT THE LEAGUE

JUNIOR ROTATIONAL PROGRAM
At the core of the NFL’s Junior Rotational Program is a series of work assignments which will provide participants with an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s success while receiving an unparalleled
learning experience. Program participants will complete several rotations over a two-year period. During each rotation, participants are placed in a department for 6 to 12 months with project-based assignments.
In addition, participants will receive comprehensive orientation and training, mentor assignments and the opportunities to network with other Junior Rotational Program participants. Placement opportunities within the NFL are based on business needs and individual performance. Current participating areas include Communications & Public Affairs, Events, Finance, Football Operations & Officiating, International, Marketing & Sales, and Media. Upon completion of the program, participants may pursue further education, opportunities
at NFL clubs and partner organizations, or opportunities outside the NFL.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
NFL Summer Internship Program participants have the opportunity to receive an unmatched, behind-the-scenes learning experience. Though interns work within specific departments, they are able to explore all aspects of the business of professional football through speaker presentations, mentoring relationships and networking opportunities. Selected applicants are placed within the NFL based on interest, experience, academic coursework, and the NFL’s business needs. Past assignments at the League Office have included the following departments: Communications & Public Affairs, Community Affairs, Consumer Products, Events, Finance & Accounting, Football Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Audit, International, Labor & Legal, Marketing & Sales, and Media.

PROGRAMS AT NFL FILMS

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Winner of 105 Emmy Awards, NFL FILMS is widely recognized as the most honored filmmaker in sports. Since 1964 NFL FILMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the NFL, has revolutionized the way America watches football and sports in general. Each year the studio produces more than 600 hours of new NFL programming for NFL Network, ESPN, all major broadcast and numerous cable networks, NFL.com, and the DVD market. Additionally, NFL FILMS produces hundreds of hours of non-football related programming for a wide variety of clients and broadcasters, as well as providing audiovisual and engineering support for the other divisions of the NFL. Participants in the NFL FILMS Internship Program will have the opportunity to experience one of the most unique learning and working environments in the Television and Film industry. The award-winning staff is willing to assist and mentor those individuals with a serious desire to further their studies and achieve their career
goals. Incorporated into the internship program are seminars that cover topics such as networking, freelance work, licensing and property rights, and Q & A sessions with executives and former interns. Additionally, we provide time to observe and experience all phases of our operations in film and video production as well as
time to work on one’s own project to upgrade his or her skills and demo reel. There are several departments within NFL FILMS that offer internship opportunities. Based on an applicant’s stated interest, course of study
and experience, we will assign an intern to spend the majority of their time in one of these departments: Audio, Cinematography, Facility Sales, Graphics, International, Music Composition, Producers, Project Management, and Studio. The NFL FILMS Internship Program accepts applicants for the Fall (entire football season), Spring, and Summer semesters.
