RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Define, design, build, test, implement, document and maintain Battelle’s IT infrastructure and enterprise application
· Monitor and troubleshoot systems and applications
· Recommend and take appropriate action to improve operational performance · Develop needs assessment information, evaluate new technologies and perform special projects as assigned
· Perform after-hours on-call duties
· Flexibility to shifting priorities and able to work with some projects during nights and/or weekends
· Interface with external vendors as necessary
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Five or more years of relevant systems administration experience
· Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
· Experience working in a team environment with the ability to work independently without direct supervision as well
· Strong organizational and analytical skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience administering Windows Server 2003/2008 and working with Windows 7/Microsoft Office products
· Experience in successfully installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, maintaining and configuring some of the following products:• Microsoft Office SharePoint Server• Oracle WebLogic Server or other J2EE application server • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and configuration/deployments of .NET applications• Microsoft BizTalk Server• Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services • Microsoft .NET Framework • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager • HP Performance/Quality Center • HP Trim • Active Directory

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop software in C++, C#, Java and/or Javascript/HTML5.
- Develop multi-touch applications for desktop, web and mobile platforms.
- Document work as well as following and enforcing software configuration management and quality assurance requirements

Responsibilities of this position include:
- Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for common security tasks, security enhancements, reporting, and monitoring.

National Science Foundation Research Internships
The NSF Blue Waters project will be funding 17 undergraduate research internships again this year. This program provides for: 1) a $5000 stipend for the student over the course of the year; 2) travel, accommodations, meals and participation in a two-week intensive Petascale Institute at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA); 3) travel to the SC11 conference in Seattle in November.
Because this program is run nationally we are soliciting student applications from across the country, in addition we are seeking faculty with research or educational projects involving high performance computing to post intern positions through our site. Positions can be created for a particular student, or open to qualified applicants.

It is that time again when we begin to recruit current undergraduate juniors for our Software Development Summer Internship Program at Datatel. The 2011 Summer Internship Program dates are Monday, May 16 - Friday, August 12. Please note that only students graduating in December 2011 or May 2012 will be considered for the Summer Internship Program. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this requirement.

IBEX (Interstellar Boundary Explorer)/Interactive Media Intern
The Adler Planetarium is seeking a part-time IBEX (Interstellar Boundary Explorer)/Interactive Media Intern to develop and maintain web-based multimedia projects. This position will report to the Director of Interactive Media and the IBEX Project Lead. This internship will begin in June, 2010, and will end on
May 31, 2011.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with staff to develop, evaluate, revise and maintain the IBEX website;
• Work with staff to develop, evaluate revise and deliver IBEX multimedia projects, including web interactives, exhibition and CD-ROM projects;
• Work with staff as appropriate to develop, evaluate, revise, and maintain The Adler Planetarium website, in-house interactives, and similar projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
• One to two years of experience developing multimedia projects with an emphasis on website development;
• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS;
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash (in relation to multimedia development) and Microsoft Office;
• Familiarity with one scripting language, such as Python, Perl, or PHP;
• Experience with database development using, for example, MySQL;
• Experience working with the Zope/Plone or Drupal content management system is a plus.
The hourly wage is $11.00.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information

software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer is a multi-faceted infrastructure support
position that can be assigned the duties of: server administrator, database administrator, information security
administrator, disaster recovery administrator and network administrator or a combination. Incumbents must be
knowledgeable in data communications, network planning and analysis, database concepts and structures,
vendor evaluations and interfacing and/or modifying database software. Experience with Windows Server,
Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint or web administration, VMware, Linux/Unix, Citrix and Oracle is
preferred. Must be available for call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science and 2 years of experience as a
Systems Engineer and/or Database Administrator; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience in
application programming, systems analysis and design, 2 years of which must have been as a Systems Engineer
and/or DatabaseAdministrator; OR 6 years of relevant experience with 3 years as a Systems Engineer and/or
Database Administrator and 2 years in application programming, systems analysis and design. Degree must be
from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central
Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region. Must possess a valid driver's license at time of
appointment. Must obtain and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License within 30 days of appointment.

Prison Fellowship is a Christian ministry with our National Office located in Lansdowne, Virginia, 25 miles outside of Washington, DC. Our opportunities listed below are offered at $7.25 per hour with local housing available for a limited number of students from outside of the area.
Prison Fellowship internships provide students with practical work experience in a Christian environment, while structuring the internship to meet the students’ academic requirements. As Christians, all interns also participate in stimulating events such as visits to Capitol Hill, meeting with Christian political leaders, and worldview Bible studies.
Statistical Analyst Assistant, Centurions Program (30-40 hrs/wk)
BreakPoint’s Centurion Program is a Christian Worldview distance-learning program that prepares Christians to live out their faith. Since 2004, it has equipped hundreds of men and women to live out their faith in a way that turns heads and impacts every segment of culture—from the operating table, to legislative halls, to the artist’s studio—with the transforming truth of Jesus Christ. As a part of a cohesive team, you will assist in the development and maintenance of their Access database of online learning center students, Centurions Program participants, donors, movement partners, and other relationships. You will also gain great insight into the Project Management cycle and provide general support of system and user documentation. The qualified individual(s) will possess a strong level of software knowledge, Office 2000 experience, Windows XP experience, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
