George Voinovich is the senior United States Senator from the state of Ohio and a member of the Republican Party. Previously, he served as the Governor of Ohio from 1991-1998, and as the mayor of Cleveland from 1980-1989. He currently serves on the Environment and Public Works committee, the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee, and the Foreign Relations committee.
