COLLEGE INTERN
Job Duties:
Assists Department’s Global Markets Division (i.e., GMD) with Ohio company projects &
conducting market research on industry markets, foreign traders, trade shows, country facts,
commercial guides, business travel, & export statistics; responds to Ohio company inquiries for
export information (e.g., shipping, packaging, customs, tariffs, licenses, labeling, insurance,
financing); assists Ohio’s international offices to fulfill sourcing requests for Ohio products;
researches, organizes, & updates fact sheets on trade-related topics.
Assists with preparation for trade shows & trade missions; assists with hosting
incoming foreign delegations & buyers’ missions; assists with preparation for
special events such as Governor’s Export Awards, pre-mission briefings & annual
GMD seminars.
Revises & updates GMD publications; prepares Ohio company mailing lists; prepares &
disseminates trade leads; assists with photocopying & faxing; assists with update of central
office files; updates & maintains Pivotal database files for trade staff; assists with
receptionist duties as needed; assists directors & trade managers with other administrative tasks
as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a college student enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s
degree program; prior work experience, preferably in an office environment, desired; foreign
language proficiency preferred.
Salary:
$10.00 - $15.00 Hourly
