Summary: Under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Essential Functions:
  • Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.

During the year, the Fellow will learn organizing and advocacy skills about health reform implementation, Medicaid, Medicare, health equity, and other important health policy issues. At the same time, the Wellstone Fellow will develop an understanding of the tactics and strategies used in state-based consumer health advocacy organizations and will work directly with our network of state consumer health advocates and organizations.

The Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice was created in 2005 by Philippe Villers, Founder and President of Families USA. Each year, the Villers Fellow works in our health policy department and assists our organization's efforts to improve access to health coverage for all Americans, especially for low-income and other vulnerable communities. Specifically, the Villers Fellow will conduct research on a range of health care policy issues, and write and contribute to publications that are relevant to health reform implementation and other health policy issues.

In creating the fellowship, Mr. Villers aspired to develop a network of young leaders who share a passion for health care justice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to health care justice work following their year as a fellow. Additionally, in order to encourage the development of future leaders, Villers Fellows must commit to mentoring at least one person over the course of their careers.

It is that time again when we begin to recruit current undergraduate juniors for our Software
Development Summer Internship at Datatel. The 2012 Summer Internship dates are Monday,
May 21 - Friday, August 17. Please note that only students graduating in December 2012 or
May 2013 will be considered for the Summer Internship. Unfortunately, we cannot make

Datatel's Software Development Division accepts intern applications for:

The selected interns are given the unique opportunity to come to Datatel's
Fairfax, Virginia office and become immersed in the day-to-day business of commercial

This vision composes fresh video and tight supporting copy to produce broadcast and online multi-media promos that both inspire the viewer and sell the news product each day. This position is responsible for the look, feel, tone, cadence, and storytelling of our brand and product marketing on a daily basis. The person in this role will build productive relationships with content and revenue departments through personal initiative, flexibility, and intellectual curiosity. You will write, produce, and edit news topicals, utilize social media to draw viewer tune-in, produce proof of performance promos, plus produce product and brand campaigns. The successful candidate must also be an excellent communicator with solid news judgement that can write compelling news copy with little supervision. You must be able to work in a fast-paced news environment and can handle tight deadlines. As part of our promotions team you will have the opportunity to work with a very creative group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write, produce and edit succinct yet compelling daily news and sweeps topicals and brand promotions and select accompaniments such as video, music, sound effects and graphics.
  • Sift through complex and frequently changing project details in order to define, communicate and produce copy that supports audience and brand growth.
  • Assist and support marketing team with logistics, execution and delivery of creative
  • Serve as marketing videographer and be able to secure talent, scout locations, address lighting and supply props.
  • Proactively write and produce "Proof of Benefit" spots with compelling creative and video that showcase the NBC4 brand pillars
  • Assumes ownership of all projects by setting priorities and identifying critical issues and goals.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned, including but not limited to station events and interactive cross-promotions.
  • Writes, shoots and produces station PSA and event promotions as necessary
Education and Experience:
  • Ability to write clear and succinctly offering a variety of concepts for approaching sweeps stories, daily topicals and brand campaigns.

Position Responsibilities
  • Successful candidate will have an advanced understanding of the fundamentals of electrochemistry (thermodynamics and electrochemistry), applied aspects of electrochemistry, and practical aspects of material science and metallurgy.
  • Develop an advanced strategy focused on developing new capabilities and securing funding in corrosion science.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative concepts, secure research funding and conduct research projects in corrosion science and/or physical metallurgy.
  • Plan and supervise electrochemical experiments related to batteries, capacitors, fuel cells, corrosion science and engineering.
  • Write proposals and reports and present findings in international forums and journal publications
Required Qualifications
  • B.S, Masters, or PhD degree in Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or other closely related physical science
  • 10+ years experience in technical business development and marketing in the corrosion science field.
  • Advanced understanding of electrochemistry of atmospheric and aqueous and non-aqueous corrosion processes and issues involved with corrosion prevention and control.
  • Demonstrated experience with parametric and nonparametric applied statistical analysis
  • Ability to innovate, as demonstrated by publications and patents.
  • Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to relate to internal and client staffs, as necessary, to accomplish project work, develop business, present results, and provide presentations at conferences and in technical journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Job Overview: To have the ability to quantify the presence of a life-threatening withdrawal, withdrawal seizures or delirium tremens; any of which can lead to death. RN to train the staff on what to look for if symptoms appear during the program. Complete the intake questionnaire with the clients and perform mental status exam relevant to signs and symptoms of drug withdrawal. Take clients blood pressure, check pulse and go over medication rules and requirements. This is to assist in sorting out individuals with high blood pressure and not properly medicated verses possible drug withdrawal. Complete all documentation.
