Law Practice Management

WilmerHale Plans Business Center in Ohio

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr plans to move its business operations to the Dayton, Ohio, area.

The firm’s new business center will house employees in finance, human resources, information technology, document review, operations and practice management, according to a press release and stories in the Boston Globe, the Dayton Business Journal and the Kettering-Oakwood Times.

Current employees may transfer to the new location in Kettering, but WilmerHale expects most of the jobs will be filled with Ohio workers, the Business Journal says. The law firm is holding a recruitment open house this weekend.

The center will open in September and will house about 187 employees.

Wal-Mart Internship

I am looking for candidates interested in Walmart's brand new Summer Retail Intern opportunities. I am attaching the Job Description and the Application (write to contact for application).

My stores are all in Southern/Southeastern Ohio (West Union, South Point, Jackson, New Boston, Waverly, Gallipolis, and Hillsboro) and in Eastern Cincinnati/Northern KY (to include Dry Ridge, Florence, Alexandria and Fort Wright). The Ohio South Region includes all stores from Columbus to the Ohio River - so, even if they are interested in stores outside of my markets, they can be considered by other markets.

Potential intern candidates need to complete the application and fax them to my office (fax: 740-594-3629). We will accept applications until May 20th only. Qualified candidates will be interviewed as part of our selection process. We are approved for no more than 2 interns per store. Internship dates are June 7th - August 13th. The intern pay rate is $12/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Enrolled in a four-year university as a junior or senior
    • Maintain a GPA average of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be truly interested in a CAREER in the retail industry
