The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is hosting their 2nd Annual Career Fair to fill professional, mid-career level (non-entry level) positions at the Ervin J. Nutter Center (Fairborn, Ohio) on 5 May 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Professionals with advanced degrees and/or specialized experience in the areas of Life Cycle Logistics, Financial Management, Contracting, Program Management, Test Evaluation and Engineering are encouraged to attend with resumes in hand. Hiring officials will be available to discuss job opportunities with attendees.
Approximately 5,000 job seekers attended the 27 August 2009 ASC Career Fair and the outcome was even better than anticipated. While ASC had planned to hire 50-60 individuals, over 180 persons have been hired as a direct result of the event.
This year’s career fair is designed to refresh ASC’s current inventory of resumes with newly available candidates and those who have acquired new experience/education. No pre-registration is required. Applicants must enter at Gate 3.
Requirements for Federal employment include: United States citizenship, having or being able to obtain a Security Clearance (some positions may require drug testing), occasional travel away from the normal duty station via military or commercial aircraft, and some positions may require the selectee to work overtime. Selections will be made without regard to non-merit factors such as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, age, politics, disability, or sexual orientation, which do not relate to successful performance of the duties of the position except where specifically authorized by law.
