SALARY RANGE: $49,816 to $74,526
Qualified City of Dayton employees and the general public may apply to fill this vacancy; however, an internal
candidate is being considered for the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates assignments and information for the City Manager's Office which involves
prioritization, follow-up and working with Division Managers and Directors. Is responsible for the fiscal
management of the Department and serves as the lead person in maintaining financial computer records and
reports. Supervises staff involved in the delivery of internal and external services; directs staff in general
accounting functions; conducts special research on Department fiscal matters; manages the flow of data relative
to Department personnel; and plans and coordinates all centralized administrative services for the Department.
Advises and confers with staff members to ensure compliance with applicable rules and statutes. Coordinates
systems and services delivered by the Department and/or Division. Must understand all aspects of services
provided including budget and research, reproduction, mailroom, city stores, purchasing and property
management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in an administrative, managerial
or supervisory capacity. Experience in budgetary processes and supervision is preferred. Degree must be from
a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central
Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license at time of
appointment. Must obtain and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License within 30 days of appointment.
