SALARY RANGE: $54,828 to $81,972
RESPONSIBILITIES: To ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information
systems that support core organizational functions. Monitors, maintains, supports and optimizes all networked
software and associated operating systems. The Systems Engineer is a multi-faceted infrastructure support
position that can be assigned the duties of: server administrator, database administrator, information security
administrator, disaster recovery administrator and network administrator or a combination. Incumbents must be
knowledgeable in data communications, network planning and analysis, database concepts and structures,
vendor evaluations and interfacing and/or modifying database software. Experience with Windows Server,
Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint or web administration, VMware, Linux/Unix, Citrix and Oracle is
preferred. Must be available for call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science and 2 years of experience as a
Systems Engineer and/or Database Administrator; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience in
application programming, systems analysis and design, 2 years of which must have been as a Systems Engineer
and/or DatabaseAdministrator; OR 6 years of relevant experience with 3 years as a Systems Engineer and/or
Database Administrator and 2 years in application programming, systems analysis and design. Degree must be
from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central
Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region. Must possess a valid driver's license at time of
appointment. Must obtain and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License within 30 days of appointment.

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Final permanent appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination,
