Developmental Disabilities of Clark County: Contract Procurement Specialist


TEMPORARY INDEFINITE (available immediately until undetermined date)
8:00am – 4:30pm; 40 Hours/week

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 Years Experience In Sales/Marketing; 1 Year Experience In DD Work Related Setting
  • Eligible for DODD Adult Services Registration
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
POST OFFER OF HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Negative Results Of A Two-Step Mantoux TB Test And Drug Screening
  • Satisfactory Results Of Local And State Records Checks
  • Satisfactory Physical Examination Including Work-Related Lifting Test
POST-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Acquire/Maintain Applicable License/Certification/Registration In Good Standing, Attend Annual Inservice Workshops; Orientation;

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision of the Adult Services Coordinator or Business Operations Manager, and in cooperation with other team members, researches and presents employment opportunities to the production team/management for their decision about pursuing business. Ensures continued contracts by building rapport with potential/current customers, researching customer specifications, and monitoring performance of required quality assurance activities.

Markets products and services produced by workers; solicits current and potential customers; researches, presents information and drafts items for government and private sector contracts/grants; coordinates scheduling of production with Manufacturing Manager/Adult Services Coordinator and customer(s); maintains customer contact to ensure satisfaction; coordinates quality control and inventory control for assigned contracts; researches new products and services; makes fixtures and jigs to assist Individuals in production; trains as needed; performs quality assurance testing; picks up and delivers materials, supplies and samples required for various contracts; makes price comparisons and requisitions quantities needed; prepares information for possible inclusion in budget requests for area. Prepares specifications for development of contracts; may assist in developing and conducting time, motion and feasibility studies or quality assurance inspections, using Department of Labor standards or ISO 9001-2008 standards; drafts quotes and/or contracts for customers; prepares quality control standards based on customer needs; communicates with customers via electronic systems; assists in preparing reports for government and private industries as specified in contracts/grants; assists in maintaining all records necessary for performance of
contracts/grants. May be required to assist RSW Supervisors in production of customer jobs or services, in order to complete jobs in an ontime manner. Attends meetings and inservice training; promotes services and programs; prepares informational materials and advertising on programs and operations; conducts tours. Performs other related duties as required, to include but not limited to: serving on committees.

COMPENSATION: Starts at $10.87 - $13.04 (depending on level of experience)
Per Compensation Procedure, employees placed in a higher temporary working level for a minimum of 30 calendar days will be compensated at a higher rate of pay for the entire appointment; to be paid in the pay period immediately following the 30 calendar days. This pay rate shall be no less than the entry level wage associated with the temporary assignment ($10.87).
