Summary: Under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.

Essential Functions:
  • Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
  • Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
  • Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
  • Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.

Our National Security Global Business (NSGB) is currently seeking candidates for an Electro-Mechanical Technician position to work within the Vehicle Systems Department (VSD), a department within the NSGB Systems Development (SD) Product Line. The SD Product Line specializes in providing its clients engineering solutions, conceptual design, product development, and limited production of products for government and commercial clients. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for planning and standing up vehicle and vehicle systems product lines within VSD’s production facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The purpose of this position is to support prototype design and production of special purpose and purpose built vehicles in accordance with quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

Operates complex and sophisticated instrumentation and equipment under guidance of engineering staff. Ability to accurately follow protocols in the assembly and testing of devices. Performs testing of products for verification and validation of performance. Works with other technicians and engineers in conducting complex and multi-disciplinary projects. Works with engineers and scientists to perform experiments from a basic understanding of a project's objectives and work assignments. Requires a two year associate degree or equivalent education or training. Requires technical knowledge and experience in performing assignments involving development of prototype electromechanical products, machines and systems. Requires demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, to be self-starting, and go beyond what is asked or minimally expected. Must develop knowledge of and apply Battelle policies and procedures in the following areas: purchases of equipment and supplies, requests for services, and environmental, safety, health and security procedures and measures.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Uses basic machine shop skills, electrical wiring skills and knowledge to build appearance models, feasibility tests, functional models and engineering prototypes. Provides technical support in the set-up and conduct of laboratory test and/or field tests and experiments including acquiring and assisting in compiling, analyzing and reporting experimental data. Uses Microsoft Office applications including MSWord, MSExcel, and MSPowerPoint in support of technical reports and formal presentations. Performs related duties as required and is expected to continuously develop skills through on the job training and formal training as necessary.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • High School Diploma (Technology degree preferred)
  • 5 years demonstrated fabrication and production experience.

We are currently seeking a Subcontracts Representative. This position will be located in Columbus, Ohio.

Position Summary: Participates in subcontract activity with low to moderate risk to business unit and agreement complexity, per Corporate and Subcontracts policy. Assignments are determined and work typically consists of repetitive functions. Handles routine or standard subcontract agreements and related documentation in accordance with established subcontract policies and procedures. Requires independent business judgment for routine issues.

Position Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of senior staff, analyzes subcontract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and Battelle policies. Drafts and negotiates simple contractual instruments.
  • Coordinates subcontract proposal issues requiring the expertise of other groups proposes solutions to problems encountered in negotiations and assists in solving problems that may arise. Supports negotiation of agreements of low to moderate complexity, as required.
  • Assists in the preparation of subcontract solicitations by reviewing Battelle's contract or RFP and proposal drafts. Analyzes requests for subcontract proposals from general policy, business, financial, contractual and risk perspectives. Assures subcontract RFPs are consistent with Battelle policy and Prime Contract or RFP flow-down requirements.
  • Assists in the review of solicitations and helps prepare routine response for proposals, bids, and subcontract modifications. May also prepare simple requests for proposals.
  • Assists in the qualification of subcontractors through research and analysis and makes subcontract strategy recommendations. Assists in the verification of subcontractor expertise through Market Research.
  • Assists in the development of a bidders list and issues competitive solicitations on low risk business agreements.
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains subcontract records and files documenting subcontract performance and compliance in an audit ready condition. Identifies basic compliance problems and provides recommended solutions for approval of higher level staff/management.
  • Assists Subcontract Officers in working with internal or external business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned subcontracts.
  • Assists in subcontract closeouts, including document closeout, Open Purchase Commitment management and development of reports for department and internal client review.
  • Recommends and submits subcontract documents for Subcontracting Officer signature.
  • Performs subcontracting function in a manner consistent with legal requirements for maintaining approved purchasing system status.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field and minimum of one year of general business or acquisition/contract-related experience or equivalent years of education and experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Basic working knowledge of contracting concepts, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable international contract law, or public contract acquisition law and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

For full time employment as a teacher:

  • Your first step is to complete in full an online application on www.teachnyc.net . Please complete by the posted deadline - though you should complete it by early March 2012 in order to be eligible for most of our spring support opportunities.
  • Your second step is to familiarize yourself with the following websites:

  • o http://schools.nyc.gov which is where you can find information on everything about working in our school community and look at all of our school's individual portals - this is also where you get school specific phone numbers and addresses to do your outreach. Once you have completed your application and you are found eligible by pre-screeners - meaning your essays meet our standards and you can show you have or will have certification by either attaching the required documentation (Letter from the College indicating they are applying on your behalf to the State for or you upload the certification itself - then you will be allowed to be part of the New Teacher Finder which is a hiring support online search tool for principals to view you and for you to indicate your interest in positions.

When New Teacher Finder members log onto their applications, they see a portal of resources and information, including a history of communication from the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality and a list of event invitations. COMPENSATION: Starts at $10.87 - $13.04 (depending on level of experience)

This pay rate shall be no less than the entry level wage associated with the temporary assignment ($10.87).

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Service Operations Agent (SOA) is a key member of the branch leadership team and is responsible for driving the productivity and profitability for an assigned team of 10-12 technicians.
  • The SOA will work closely with a Service Foreman / Chiller Team Manager to prepare yearly, monthly and weekly execution plans for scheduled service visits, aligning frontliner skill levels to tasks.
  • The SOA will be the branch interface with customers - handling all customer calls, dispatching fronliners, answering inquiries and conducting follow up as required.
  • Using technology, the SOA will track dispatched frontliners throughout the day to maintain highest productivity and cost efficiency and ensure labor reported matches frontline service providers' timesheets submitted.
  • The SOA's core responsibility is to ensure frontliners are completing scheduled service visits within the standard hours and only perform required non-billable repairs. SOAs are responsible for managing daily labor to appropriate levels, including releasing labor (sending frontliners home) when workloads are down.
  • The SOA will manage/execute the key truck-based team support functions - recording frontliner activity, invoicing and collecting money from customers.
  • The SOA conducts materials coordination for the team, making purchasing decisions as needed to assist the FLSP with completing work in the most efficient manner.
  • The SOA will track and review key operational and financials metrics to ensure that team is hitting its productivity objectives and delivering its financial targets.
  • The SOA will execute renewals, billing and collections (with the support of the Service Operations Agent Assistant (SOAA), depending on the branch organization).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Minimum of five years of service industry experience managing service operations and / or service dispatch / scheduling.
  • Possesses basic accounting and business principles.
  • Able to lead and direct diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to positively represent Johnson Controls and communicate with others at varying technical levels.
  • Able to use Service Management software and financial accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (excel, word, power point), and basic Windows environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to mentor and/or supervise SOAAs.
