Datatel Summer Internship

It is that time again when we begin to recruit current undergraduate juniors for our Software
Development Summer Internship at Datatel. The 2012 Summer Internship dates are Monday,
May 21 - Friday, August 17. Please note that only students graduating in December 2012 or
May 2013 will be considered for the Summer Internship. Unfortunately, we cannot make
exceptions to this requirement.

Datatel's Software Development Division accepts intern applications for:

• programming
• quality assurance
• documentation

The selected interns are given the unique opportunity to come to Datatel's
Fairfax, Virginia office and become immersed in the day-to-day business of commercial
software development. The selected students participate in a training program and then engage
in substantive work related to Datatel's products. Each intern is assigned to a development
team and works with a formal mentor. In addition to receiving training and work experience,
many past interns have been hired as Datatel employees after graduation. This is a paid
internship and free corporate housing is provided to students during their stay in Fairfax,
Virginia.

• This tool will be created from an Excel platform with custom macros and need dashboard capability.
• It will pull data from flat files and need to model costs effectively for the organization's needs.

Requirements:
Expert Certified Programmer in MS Excel with the following:

• Visual Basic for Applications" (VBA) and Excel "macro" development ("Macro's" are essentially like a custom webapp in SP but within excel. It allows you to extend a certain capability that excel would not typically offer via program within a program type visual. As if you clicked on one cell and it opened another screen showing a computational program or any program they write for that matter...It makes Excel customizable and is essential to this)
• MS Certified in Excel • Cost modeling experience is a plus • Someone that has created financial modeling tools within Excel
