SALARY RANGE: $41,912 to $62,691
RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs technical duties necessary to procure the best value for materials, equipment, services and supplies. Sources the City's procurement needs, prepares purchase orders and bid tabulations for approval. Reviews and analyzes needs statement and submits recommendations. Incumbent must use sound analytical principles such as value analysis, lifecycle costing and similar related methods while evaluating
requests and recommendations for bids submitted. Position requires considerable use of effective professional, interpersonal and communication skills. All assignments are performed within the authority delegated from the City Charter and applicable legislation and City policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of experience working in procurement operations, business or financial management; OR Associate's degree in purchasing, procurement or accounting and 3 years of experience working in procurement operations, business or financial management. Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region. Must possess a valid driver's license at time of
appointment. Must obtain and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License within 30 days of appointment. A current Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) credential issued by the Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC) is preferred at time of appointment, or must successfully achieve this credential within 3 years of appointment.

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
