Account Specific Marketing: This intern will assist in the development of new products for respective categories working closely with most functional areas, including, but not limited to, purchasing, new product development, licensing, and creative services. Assist in the development of sales collateral materials. Contribute to the development of marketing strategies.
Marketing, General: This intern will conduct retail audits and enter collected data into spreadsheets, assist in line framing analysis, and assist in maintaining/obtaining sample inventories. The student will conduct competitive product analysis, assist in sell sheet technical information, conduct marketing information searches on the Internet, manage logistics of mock-ups for photo sessions, presentations, ad slicks and catalogs, and will assist the marketing department in other projects as requested.
Marketing, Market Insights: This intern will assist with sales force survey. The student will assist with the coordination and compiling of back-to-school ads. They will also help with image requests and maintenance as well as data coding and analysis as needed. They will support the Market Insights Analyst and others in dept. as needed
Marketing, Market Analytics: This intern will assist with analysis of internal and external sales and market data, including providing support and insights for presentations to all areas of the company on relevant topics.
Sales: This intern will track competitive data/pricing and will assist in evaluating superstore information. The student will assist with research of grocery, drug, mass and superstore channels, help create planogram, and maintain a system for tracking shipments. The student will assist with promotional presentations and everyday listings, and will review current products to help evaluate profitability/manufacturing feasibility.
Sales Financial Analyst: This intern will contribute in the preparation of customer quotes and ad hoc analysis, and assist in the preparation and distribution of profitability and cost center reports. The student will facilitate sales incentive program information to reconcile proper accrual balances on a monthly basis and facilitate the preparation of fixed spending forecast. They will assist in the analysis of Price Variance requests and prepare timely updates to
Qualifications:
Min. two years of college education, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, management or communications.
Min. of 3.0 grade point average (4.0 scale)
Ability to work part-time (15 hrs minimum) during the school year, and preferably full-time (40 hrs) during the summer.
Strong computer skills, i.e. Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint; strong aptitude for learning other software programs.
Ability to organize and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate initiative.
Strong attention to detail and solid analytical ability.
Team player/good attitude/mature.
Physical ability to lift boxes of product samples, up to 25-30 pounds, for some positions.
