DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be part of the food team that makes sure our residents' meals not only taste good, but are also good for them. Assist with preparing and serving food as well as cleaning equipment, utensils, and food service areas. You'll enjoy getting to know our residents and they'll certainly appreciate what you do for them.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order; employ proper food handling techniques in preparation of food and setting up/serving trays; deliver food, nourishments and supplies to nursing units or other areas as assigned
  • Put stock in food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
  • Clean, wash and sanitize dishes, silverware and utensils used to serve residents and others
  • Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area; clean work area and equipment as assigned.
  • Use proper infection control techniques and protective equipment as needed; perform all duties using proper safety techniques.
  • Attend and participate in in-service education opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must have knowledge of safe food preparation and handling techniques and work cooperatively as a member of a team. Should be patient and polite and able to communicate effectively with residents, their family members, other staff, referral sources and physicians. Education at the tenth grade level or above is desirable, along with experience in a dietary department, or large volume food preparation and service. Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language. Should understand the principles of growth and development for the entire life span and be able to provide appropriate care for adolescent, adults and geriatric residents.

Part Time Fundraising Position

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Board of Directors & Executive Director, this position assists with coordinating and planning all fundraising events. The fundraising coordinator is to increase contributions by individuals and groups. The fundraising coordinator will work as a contracted employee of Interfaith Hospitality Network and be paid per event.

Skills: Relationship building, communication, raises awareness of the program, and the ability to recruit volunteers and train them accordingly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing and implementing the overall campaign plan.
  • Implements plans for cultivation and solicitation of all current and new fundraising events.
  • Conducts or reviews research on prospective donors; develops and recommends approach strategy including setting dollar and/or participation goals.
  • Responsible for volunteer recruitment and orientation.
  • Provides information on planning and coordination of fundraisers to the Board of Directors, Executive Director and appropriate committees.
  • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to independently apply a broad knowledge of fundraising practices and principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team and work as a team member. Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you an energetic retail salesperson with a gift for offering exceptional customer service? This Part-Time Inside Sales position entails developing relationships with a variety of customers and being part of fast-paced, dynamic sales team. If you're interested in long-term, part-time employment, then this may be the job for you!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide exceptional customer service to regular paint contractors and new customers by offering timely and friendly service.
  • Process cash and credit transactions through Point of Sale (POS) terminal.
  • Tint paint, match paint and stain colors and make product recommendations to customers. This requires lifting, moving and stocking one and five gallon paint buckets.
  • Promote sundry item sales to compliment paint products.
  • May occasionally be called on to deliver product to a customer.
  • Maintain an understanding of local market, operations based selling and customer base.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly store, keeping interior and exterior functional, safe and attractive.
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures and maintain safe and ethical working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidates proficient in both English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.
  • One to two years of inside sales experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college credit preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of store operations.
  • Ability to attend to detail while engaging in work of a repetitive nature.
  • Broad knowledge of the application and use of paint and sundries.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds infrequently and 40 to 60 pounds routiely.
  • Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, carrying and reaching.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications
