Paid Internship at the National Electronics Museum
The National Electronics Museum in Linthicum, MD (near Baltimore) is seeking an intern for Summer 2012. The intern will work primarily in Collections with the Assistant Director. The intern will also have the opportunity to experience a variety of aspects of museum operations including volunteer management, visitor services, and education.
The internship includes a $3600 stipend for 12 weeks of full time work, and may be applied towards school credit as your school allows.
Applicants should be graduate students, recent graduates, or upper level undergraduates in Museum Studies, History, History of Science, or related fields.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to climb ladders, and
American citizenship required. Knowledge of PastPerfect collections database a plus.
