Network Coordinator/Producer (Job #100AM): RSN Satellite Services has an immediate opening for conscientious network coordinator/producer. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating master control for RSN as well as audio production for both preproduced and network broadcasts. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining RSN and Columbus Blue Jackets traffic functions, coordinating and communicating with affiliate stations, maintaining network database, creating and maintaining podcasting routines and ensuring that website content is accurate and up to date. This is a fast paced position that requires excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in sometimes stressful situations. This position requires at least 3-5 years experience in radio production, proficiency with audio editing (Adobe Audition experience preferred), experience with digital audio delivery systems, radio master control facilities and digital audio routing systems. This position does carry a flexible work schedule and requires the ability to be on call 24/7.

Digital Media News Editor (Job #200JD): WBNS-10TV, Central Ohio’s News Leader, is searching for a Digital Media News Editor to join our team. This position will be responsible for production of written and visual news content for 10TV.com and ONNtv.com. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining 10TV and ONN’s presence on social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Position requires translating broadcast copy into newspaper style, carefully following Associated Press print style. This person will communicate regularly with the station’s assignment desk, news producers, photographers, video editors and news management about news stories, breaking news, video and upcoming news events. Minimum 1-2 years experience working with online content in a news environment and excellent communication and organizational skills. Position is required to be on-call nights, weekends and holidays as assigned.

Production Editor (Job #200RB): WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio, is looking for a highly creative Production Editor to join its award winning staff. The principal duties include editing HD and SD projects for short and long-form programming, commercial production, corporate and marketing videos, broadcast specials, Internet videos, and various other programming. Final Cut Pro editing experience on broadcast television productions is required, as well as a strong sense for graphics and sound. The applicant must have strong people skills, an artistic eye, creative mindset, the ability to work well under tight deadlines, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and clients. Expertise in After Effects and Photoshop is a strong plus. The schedule may include weekdays, nights, and occasional weekends. A College degree, three years of professional editor experience, plus the ability to troubleshoot technical problems associated with editing, video encoding, codecs, servers, and formats is desired. Director (Job #400DW): The Ohio News Network, Ohio’s statewide cable news channel, is searching for a highly motivated director to join our production team. The successful candidate will direct newscast segments, manage video clips comprising ONN’s automated wheel format and direct live and taped programming in the studio and in the field. ONN’s directors utilize automated technology on a daily basis in the production of our on-air product while also performing multiple crew positions, including camera, audio, graphics, video playback and camera shading to produce a clean newscast. Additionally, ONN’s directors perform master control duties on a regular basis. This position requires previous experience in a director/td role, excellent communication skills, strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A degree in a broadcast related field is preferred.

Meteorologist (Job #400MT): The Ohio News Network seeks a dynamic meteorologist to join our weather team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and presenting compelling & clear daily weathercasts, excel in extended severe weather breaking coverage and be responsible for regular franchise reporting. ONN, which has won numerous awards, including AP Best Weather Operation 2011, provides statewide weather coverage, featuring Ohio Weather on the 10’s. This position requires a strong weather background, including but not limited to extensive knowledge of meteorological sciences, proficiency in weather forecasting, solid severe weather experience, excellent computer skills and the ability to deliver a reliable forecast. At least two years experience as a television meteorologist as well as previous reporting experience required. CBM seal or desire and ability to acquire seal strongly preferred. Demonstration of severe weather coverage on resume materials is required.
