DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales position to promote ethical drugs and other pharmaceutical and OTC products to physicians. Responsible for creating product demand within assigned territory. (*Associate) Dermatological Sales Representatives are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing field-based product promotion activities in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory standards. Key activities include face-to-face sales calls with medical professionals, distribution of product samples, and attendance at company/company sponsored meetings; some meetings may occur during evening or weekend hours; travel may be necessary.

(*Associate) Sales Representatives are held accountable for consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and objectives for designated products and/or product portfolio within assigned territory. Representatives are responsible for appropriately recording sales call notes, tracking samples, and other territory management activities through company data reporting system; other administrative duties may be assigned. Successful completion of classroom, field, and/or web-based based training is required; representatives are responsible for effectively communicating complex product, industry, and disease state knowledge to various external and internal customers. Partner with management, peers, marketing, and other sales support staff to implement territory management strategies. * Please see Qualifications Experience for additional information Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel & Residency Territory includes Eastern Ohio and Western South Carolina; cities covered include (but not limited to) Columbus, Mansfield, and Springfield Ohio; Huntington and Charleston South Carolina; representatives may expect 3-4 overnights per month to effectively manage the territory. Preferred residence is the Columbus Metro area or immediately surrounding.

Experience • *Associate Dermatological Sales Representative candidates must have a minimum two (2) years of outside sales experience (business to business, pharmaceutical, or both). • Dermatological Sales Representative candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience (business to business, pharmaceutical, or both). • Job title will be determined based on candidate experience and qualifications. • Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass complete background check. • Ability to travel overnight as needed. • Strong business acumen including excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and persuasive skills. • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information in a professional consultative manner. • Strong track record of documented success (such as sales performance, leadership, and additional responsibilities). • High level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency. • Proficient with MS Office in a Windows environment and familiar with sales tracking and reporting software. Mathematical Skills • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Employee must be able to multi-task under pressure.
