At Battelle, we want all employees to be healthy! We currently have fitness facilities in Columbus and West Jefferson.

We are currently seeking a Health Fitness Coordinator. This position will assist the Manager of Health Promotion with operating and maintaining the fitness centers at both the Columbus and West Jefferson locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach a variety of weekly classes (yoga, aerobics, pilates, etc.)
• Assist with development and review of materials for the InShape Wellness program.
• Assist in the preparation of programs and events for the staff association projects.
• Conduct individual employee exercise testing, programming, and training.
• Process new fitness members.
• Inspection and cleaning of equipment.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• 1-2 years experience in Exercise Science or fitness programs.
• Ability to instruct exercise programs.
• Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills and public presentation skills.

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Certification in (ACSM, AAFA, ACE, or NSCA) is a plus.
• CPR Certification is a plus.
